Emblem (Selected Pieces) Press Release
“Emblem (Selected Pieces)” is a retrospective of, and more importantly a carefully chosen collection of Amethystium - aka Øystein Ramfjord’s most meaningful and inspired moments from each record. “Emblem (Selected Pieces)” sheds light into the creation – and inspiration behind the music from the mind of one of the genre’s most prolific artists. This collection has been re-mastered and re-worked – giving you the opportunity to hear his music in a new light. There is also a brand new song, “Anthemoessa” – showcasing a new direction for Amethystium and featuring the vocal talent of Lee Nisbet. Amethystium is currently in the studio working on a new album – as “Emblem (Selected Pieces)” closed this chapter of his musical discovery. Equal parts Gothic, Ambient, Moody, and Graceful – Amethystium remains a singular and unique musical vision with virtually no peers.”

In other Amethystium news, after receiving numerous accolades and critical acclaim, the album Evermind has won the prize for "Best Ambient Album" at this year's NAR Lifestyle Music Awards. Evermind stayed on the Billboard new age chart for 22 consecutive weeks  and also reached a  peak position at #5.
